The Greek island of Santorini or Thera is located in the Cyclades islands, in the middle of the Aegean Sea . Santorini, and Mykonos, are the most famous Greek holiday destinations.

Santorini is essentially what remains of an enormous volcanic explosion, leading to the creation of the current geological caldera.
